What level of protection is there for my deposits?

Following announcements from the Minister for Finance on the 20 September 2008 (relating to the deposit protection scheme), and on the 24 October and 5 November 2008 (relating to the government guarantee scheme) - we understand the levels of protection in place are as set out below.
